At some point all drains need to be cleaned. Over a period of time deposits such as tree roots, fat, grease, silt and scale build up on the pipe wall, reducing the hydraulic efficiency of the drain.
With a sewer jet compressor sending 21L per minute at a pressure of 5000PSI to the blockage in your drains through a rotational cutting head Adept Plumbing and Gas can clean out your drains quicker and with less damage to drains than competitors engaging electro mechanical methods, (the electric eel).
Rear facing jets drive the jet rod through the drain to the problem area where the forward facing cutting jets blast through the obstruction. Once the head can pass through the blockage the rear facing jets can then further break up the blockage and flush them through the line. The deposits are flushed out of the pipe and the drain is returned to a free flowing condition.
It doesn’t end there; using a hand held lance we can remove graffiti, clean floors and cleaning the inside of tanks. The versatility of high pressure water jetting is endless.
Also carried on board are venturi pumps that operate with the sewer jet and can be used to pump out large volumes of water at a rate of 1000L in 3 Minutes
Drain inspection camera
Once the drain has been cleared Adept Plumbing and Gas can then carry out color CCTV inspection of the line. The drain camera footage uploaded to our youtube channel for ease of customer reference.
Location of a sonde in the camera head is easy and accurate using the Rigid scout locator. Positioning the cause of the blockage even letting us know the depth. Adept Plumbing and Gas can then provide an accurate quote for remedial works required to bring the drain back to a better than new condition.
Pre-Purchase House CCTV Surveys
When people purchase a house normally the mortgage lender insists that a survey of the property be carried out. However as they cannot survey the underground drains they cannot identify any problems that may be unseen.
Many people are not aware that responsibility for their drains ends at the connection with the public sewer, wherever it may be.
Imagine finding you have a problem with your drains under the road. What would it cost to dig the road up?? Probably thousands of dollars, for peace of mind and in the interests of certainty, Adept Plumbing and Gas strongly recommend that purchasers, before exchanging contracts, invest in a pre-purchase CCTV survey.
A video of the survey is presented to the customer via youtube, along with a comprehensive report. We will also recommend any remedial work that may be identified from the survey, and supply a quotation.
